Feral Nature - You are proficient in Unarmed weapons. When you select a Mastered weapon, you may select a natural weapon (tail, claws, fangs) to be your Mastered weapon. You do not suffer Disadvantage when you make a Test which involves communicating with animals.
Most Beastfolk develop at an accelerated rate, but age similar to Humans once they are older. They live to be roughly 90-100 years old.
Beastfolk come in all shapes, sizes, and species ranging from birds, to large cats, to amphibians. Their origins aren't necessarily kept well within the empire's archives. It's somewhat believed that Beastfolk existed far before the Empire, and were likely some of the first species to ever exist in the world.
Beastfolk typically stick to tribes, families, towns, etc that align with their species. While intermingling is fairly common, for most it makes sense to stick with what you know. A lot of times these families are nomadic in nature, traveling and picking up various artisanal trades along the way. Beastfolk caravans were especially popular, boasting long trains of various animal families that traveled from town to town to sell a variety of wares, trinkets, and goods.Â
Each Beastfolk also utilizes their own unique skills and abilities granted to them by their species. They tend to closely resemble and have similar temperaments to the animals their origins harken back to. For some beastfolk, the amount of resemblance can greatly vary. Some may appear more humanoid in shape or features, but they will always look much more animal than human.
