Map of the Realms
You are here! Where the living and dead intermingle.
The mortal plane is where we as mortals exist. Time moves as it was intended, and the cycle of life and death goes on for eternity. When death comes for us all, the soul of a mortal moves to the spirit realm, or Ethereal Plane. Those who do not wish to move on often wander this realm are ghosts, spirits and lost souls.
Some people can commune with the dead and peak into this realm, reaching out to whatever wandering souls still remain. Once a soul moves on to the plane they are condemned to, they cannot be reached.
The home of celestial light and divine energy. This higher plane of existence houses the gods and their heavenly bodies.
The Celestial Plane was carefully sewn together by the forces of Archi-Ola as a home of the divine and radiant. A force of good and justice that would oversee the development of the Mortal Plane. This plane specifically is home to the Divine Pantheon, where the gods store their power and energy to bestow it on mortals. A variety of other celestials call this place home as well, all divine and angelic in nature.
The Celestial Plane is far above that of the Fae or Elemental planes, unreachable by mortals and only accessible to the divine. Occasionally the celestials do reach out to mortals, providing guidance and reassurance. Those who have been touched by the power of the celestial plane are often chosen for a reason.
The birthplace of evil and home to demons and fiends alike.
Existing as the antithesis of the Celestial Planes, the Infernal Plane, or also referred to as the 9 Hells, is what balances light and dark in the mortal plane. If the celestials are made of light and justice, then the infernal are of darkness and greed. Each circle of hell is ruled over by a Demonic lord.
The Infernal Plane exists almost as a necessary evil punishing those who have done evil deeds within their lives as mortals. But to stay bent to one will is not how Infernals work. Often times they crawl out of the depths of the hells to wreak havoc on the worlds above. Sewing chaos, fear, dread, and death wherever they go. They make pacts, secure souls, and drive innocent mortals to insanity. Those who have been touched by the Infernal Plane's hellish magic luckily don't retain much of the drive for chaos, as their appearance is what it mostly changes. Some have a more devilish appearance than others, unfortunately.
Home to all Fae, Keepers of wild and natural magic.
A realm of magic and life, the Fae (also spelled Fey, Fay, or Fairie) Realm is one of the most well-known of the planes of existence. This realm boasts beautiful imagery and a bright and gorgeous version of the mortal realm. Time seems to stop here, granting the fey incredibly long lifespans.
The Realm is overseen by the Fae Queen, a deity that embodies all magic and every season of nature. She is the physical form of the law of nature and its cycle. The title of Fey Queen has been passed down over many millennia after one step down. The average lifespan of the Fey Queen is around 8-10,000 years. The magic in the Fey Queen's body binds her to the plane, unable to leave it. Any bidding she needs to be done in the mortal world, she sends her Archfey to do.
In the Fey Realm, there are 6 courts that are overseen by the ruling Archfey, incredibly powerful deities that are appointed by the Fey Queen herself. There are four courts for the four seasons and two for the night and day.
Four known portals to the Fey Plane exist in the Mortal Plane, one to represent each cardinal direction. These go into each of the four seasonal courts and are guarded by those court's officials. One such portal exists within the Empire. That being the Northern portal of the Spring Court. The portal to the Spring Court is guardian by the Order of Oak, a Druid enclave that serves Archfey Fiori, The Lady of Spring, helping bring aid to war-stricken refugees.

Home to all Shadows, Keepers of unnatural death and decay.
The opposite of the Fae Plane is that of the Far, a land shrouded in shadow. If the Fae plane is a place that embodies nature and magic, the Far plane embodies death and decay. Much like its counterpart, this plane looks similar to the mortal plane but is filled with dark deities and manifestations of shadow.
The Far Plane is overseen by a queen of its own. The Shadow Queen, similar in status and power to the Fey Queen, is a harbinger of unnatural death in the mortal plane. While Gennisi is the natural cycle of life and death, The Shadow Queen embodies death outside of the cycle, murder being one of them. She is cruel and arrogant and seeks to see decay spread across the mortal realm. But her power is as limited as the Fey queen's, as she too cannot leave her realm.
The Shadow Queen does not have multiple courts beneath her, as she rules absolutely over the realm. But her court does carry significant members. Some of them reach out to mortals to form deals, offering a taste of the shadowy power of death. Others lure them in, trapping their souls forever with no chance of salvation. For a mortal to enter this plane would mean certain death.

Housing each of the four essential elements.
The Elemental Planes are the primal sources of the four elements intrinsic to life. They are the foundations of the land as we know it. Each individual plane contains the primordial essence of their element, as well as creatures and entities that embody that. They have no real rulers or leaders, as each plane exists in its own nature outside of the Fae and Far realms. The elemental Planes were created by the divine pantheon to use as building blocks for the mortal realms.
Some of the creatures found within the Elemental planes are simply called Elementals, sentient and living embodiments of their element that can sometimes be found or summoned into the mortal realm. Sometimes mortals get imbued with the elemental energy, changing their structure to better fit that of the realm that touched them.
